AT THE CARNAVAL
On that certain night, you can feel it.
Something's in the air, but you can't see it...
Unless you walk on down to the center of town.
Put on a smile and cast away that frown.
At the carnaval, there'll be dancing.
And the moonlight brings sweet romancing.
Throw all your cares away,
Forget about the day:
Join in with the carnaval and play
Senoritas smile while they're singing.
Firecrackers sound, with church bells ringing.
Tonight don't you be late; get out and celebrate.
the sky will burn with fire at half past eight.
Costumed revelers jump and sway now.
Drinking rum and beer along the way now.
Today they have the right to drink away the night.
Come sunrise, they will toast the morning light.
