CHARLTON HESTON
Charlton Heston, what kind of man are you?
You got blood on your hands. Yes you do.
How many gonna die before you're through?
Tell me, just what kind of man are you?
You see yourself as a protector of peoples rights.
But I gotta wonder if you've ever watched the news each night.
And seen the carnage your N.R.A. has brought?
Is this the kind of freedom, the freedom to die, that you've sought.
You're quick to recite the sound bites we all know.
"It's the man, not the gun" who struck the fatal blow.
But, without that gun, could you honestly say
That the victims we are mourning would be just as dead today.
Right now, there are people dying. Children dying.
And not a tear from you for the loved ones left crying.
You can stop it now. Bring it to an end.
Be the man of God that you portray and not the devil's friend.
