SEASONS
I saw the rain come down this morning.
Little droplets fell upon my window pane.
Looking out, I couldn't see so clearly,
but I could see that I was lonely once again.
Seasons never change inside the city.
Winter comes. The cold wind starts to blow.
Everything is gloomy, dark and dirty.
There's no escape. There's nowhere left to go.
I walk the streets we walked together.
Alone amidst the crowded avenues.
Stopping by the old familiar places.
But without you there, I only got the blues.
Seasons never change inside the city.
Winter comes. The cold wind starts to blow.
Everything is gloomy, dark and dirty.
There's no escape. There's nowhere left to go.
I saw the sun come up this morning.
In the distance I could hear the children play.
But their laughter brought no consolation.
To me their summer skies are always grey.
Seasons never change inside the city.
Winter comes. The cold wind starts to blow.
Everything is gloomy, dark and dirty.
There's no escape. There's nowhere left to go.
